Jack Claudius Johnson, Jr., 86, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021. He was born in Bedford, VA on October 7, 1935 a son of the late Jack Claudius Johnson, Sr. and Ruby Vassar Johnson. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and he was retired from Rubatex. Jack is survived by his wife, Carol Witt Johnson; children, Kim Hedrick and husband Joey, Jacki Overstreet and husband Terry, Lori Grant, Misty Brewbaker and husband Richard; step-sons, Terry Watson, Todd Watson and wife Amy; brothers, Harvey Johnson and wife Patty, William Johnson; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Pecks Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Sheehan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a donation to Pecks Baptist Church in his memory.
