Barbara M. (Streeter) Scott, age 86 born August 8, 1937, to her parents Rufus G. Streeter and Charlotte (Skoglund) Streeter of Brookfield, Massachusetts, passed away April 28, 2024 in the stillness of the early morning very peacefully and her Joy coming in the morning at her residence. She is preceded in passing by her parents, her older brother Rufus G Jr (Sonny) and her younger sister Judy. She is a graduate of Tantasqua Regional High School, class of 1956, Sturbridge, MA and Salem State College, class of 1962, Salem, MA, Summa Cum Laude in Business Education. Her lifetime profession in the field of secondary education was her passion. She was always teaching. She had a heart of gold and was an inspiration to so many. She leaves behind her husband David of 66 years. Her son, Alan and his children David III and Shanna. Her daughter, Amy, her husband Jerry and their son Ian. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Bedford Christian Church, 1928 Moneta Road, Bedford. Family will receive friends 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3, at their residence, 971 Ashland Avenue, Bedford.
