Margot Morris, 73, of Rustburg, went to be with her Lord on May 9, 2022.  She fought the fight for her life courageously and is now at peace. She was born in Munich, Germany on September 23, 1948.  She was raised by her mother and grandmother, Erika and Rosa Hartenberger, and later her stepfather, Otto Hacker. She completed her studies in Munich and became an accomplished cosmetologist. She then met the love of her life, William T. “Bill” Morris. After his service in the US Army, they moved to Chesapeake, VA and were married in Great Bridge Baptist Church on May 13, 1967.Margot is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Bill Morris. They were never far apart and cherished each other every day. She is also survived by her son, Cecil T. “Tommy” Morris; grandsons, Dylan and Cullen Morris; sister-in-law, Neva “Nikki” Campbell; nephew, Alvin Potter; niece, DeAnna Potter Thompson; cousins, Cindy Gay, Michelle Demuro, Debbie Jennings; and many extended family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Cecil O. and Lois Morris; favorite aunt and uncle, Gene and Alice Dorland; and cousin H. C. Jennings. The family would like to give a sincere and heartfelt thank you to everyone at Centra Hospice here in Lynchburg. Their unwavering care and empathy meant so much in her final days.
