David Wayne “D.J.” Disney, Jr., 32, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022. He was born in Seaford, Delaware on May 3, 1990, a son of David Wayne Disney, Sr. and the late Holly Sorber Farrell. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ashley Nicole McArdle. D.J. loved his children and had a passion for MMA. In addition to his father, he is survived by his step-mother, Sandy Disney; step-father, Jody Farrell; his children, Tyler Disney, Aubree Disney, Cora Banes; sisters, Melissa Hall, Noel Downes, Sarra Disney, Jamy Harston, Samantha Harston; brother, Zach Farrell; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel, 1235 Walnut Street, Bedford. Lawrence J. Goff, 79, of Big Island, VA, passed on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at his residence.   He was born August 5, 1942 in Bedford County, a son of the late Owen Silas Goff and Ruth Goff Robertson. Lawrence was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation after 39 loyal years of service.   In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by his brothers, Winfred Goff, Dalmase Goff, Guy Goff, Ted Goff, Tommy Goff; sister, Patsy Weatherford; step-daughters, Joann Camden, Sandra Blair; step-grandson John Wilson. Lawrence was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was well known for his trips in his Bronco up Hunting Creek to find deer, turkey and squirrels, and he filled many freezers full of game. Lawrence was a devoted UVa sports fan, held a deep love of Ford cars and trucks, and was a huge fan of NASCAR, especially Bill Elliott. Weekends found him frequently asserting that Awesome Bill from Dawsonville was a much better driver than Dale Earnhardt. Lawrence is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Edna Lucille Goff; sisters, Elsie Andrews, Jeannette Goff, Patricia Pederson (Arvid); sister-in-law’s, Janie Goff, Virginia Goff; step-daughters, Mary Adams, Donna Wright (Kevin), step-sons-in-law Donnie Camden and Robert Blair; and close buddy and dedicated caregiver Jared Farmer; step-grandchildren Jason Camden, William Blair, Rebecca Blair, Steven Wright and Brandon Wright (Skylar); and many step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 Sunday, May 22 at Tabernacle Church of God with Pastor Sam Jones officiating. A burial will follow in the Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ken Bledsoe officiating. It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of William Yopp, age 71, who died on 5/14/2022.  Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose Yopp, with two children Lynn Crouch and Jason Yopp and wife Lindy, brother David Yopp and wife Shelby, sister Joyce Stanely and husband, Buck, sister in-law Rhonda Caldwell, grandchildren Chad Crouch, Taylor Yopp, Dakota Yopp, Madison Yopp, and great-grandchild Maddox Avery, and other cousins.  Beside him till the end was his best friend and co-pilot Max the Dog.  Service will be held graveside at Resurrection Roman Catholic Church at 15353 Moneta Rd, Moneta, VA 24121 on Saturday May 21st, 2022 at 2:30PM. Margot Morris, 73, of Rustburg, went to be with her Lord on May 9, 2022.  She fought the fight for her life courageously and is now at peace. She was born in Munich, Germany on September 23, 1948.  She was raised by her mother and grandmother, Erika and Rosa Hartenberger, and later her stepfather, Otto Hacker. She completed her studies in Munich and became an accomplished cosmetologist. She then met the love of her life, William T. “Bill” Morris. After his service in the US Army, they moved to Chesapeake, VA and were married in Great Bridge Baptist Church on May 13, 1967.Margot is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Bill Morris. They were never far apart and cherished each other every day. She is also survived by her son, Cecil T. “Tommy” Morris; grandsons, Dylan and Cullen Morris; sister-in-law, Neva “Nikki” Campbell; nephew, Alvin Potter; niece, DeAnna Potter Thompson; cousins, Cindy Gay, Michelle Demuro, Debbie Jennings; and many extended family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Cecil O. and Lois Morris; favorite aunt and uncle, Gene and Alice Dorland; and cousin H. C. Jennings. The family would like to give a sincere and heartfelt thank you to everyone at Centra Hospice here in Lynchburg. Their unwavering care and empathy meant so much in her final days. Donna Lee Hogan Tillman, 71, of Bedford, VA passed away Monday, May 9, 2022, at The Destiny House in Lynchburg, VA. She was born in Loraine, Ohio September 19, 1950, a daughter of the late Roy Allen Hogan and Iris Koon Hogan. Donna was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Ray Willard Tillman; children, Shannon Green (Roy), Michael Tillman (Lisa), Shelley Clary (James); grandchildren, Afton Tillman, Madeleine Cheek, Cody Green, Ashlee Green, Kinley Clary; sister, Karen Yost (Don), special friend, Connie Dinwiddie, and her four-legged friend, Kasey. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Centra Hospice and the Destiny House for all of the love and care given to Donna. Cynthia Ann Martin, 71 of Moneta passed away peacefully at her home on May 2, 2022. She was born on June 16, 1950 in Itazuke Air Force Base, Japan.  She was the daughter of the late John Alexander Martin and Shirley Timberlake Martin. In addition to her parents Cindy was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kinney, sister-in-law, Delores Martin and nephew Sean Kinney. Cindy graduated from Hampton High School Class of ’69 and Riverside School of Nursing Class of ’87.  Her desire to care for others was often displayed while working at the Riverside Rehabilitation Center as well as Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She retired from nursing to devote her time to care for her mother, sister and father.  After the passing of her father, Cindy continued to care for others while working at Home Instead as a caregiver.  Cindy will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate to know her. She is survived by three brothers, Jimmy, Mike (Gwen) and Pat Martin, niece Dallas Hoegerl (Bryan), cousins Greg, Bob and Diane Frank and a special friend and caregiver Sue Tuck.
