Moses Henry Roberts, Jr., 77, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024. He was born in Bedford, VA on January 23, 1947 a son of the late Moses Henry Roberts, Sr. and Bessie Saunders Roberts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Latimer Roberts; son, Mark Edward Roberts; and siblings, Debbie Roberts and “Moon” Roberts. He is survived by his son, Michael Lynn Roberts (Carolyn); daughter, Barbara Marie Roberts (Bill); siblings, Lula Dooley, George Roberts, Odell Roberts, Betty Roberts, Jessie Roberts, Judy Roberts, Lousie Longworth, Steve Roberts, Mary Jane Sink, Jimmy Swanson; two grandchildren, Tuesday Dawn Carter, Chloe Mae-Dawn Newcomer; and two great-grandchildren, Damon Andrews and Danica Andrews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Walnut Street Chapel, 1235 Walnut Street, Bedford, with Rev. Earl Ragland officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Land cemetery. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #16. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday at Walnut Street Chapel.
