Frank Anthony Amoroso, 88, of Moneta, died Monday, October 28, 2019. He was born in Donora, PA on August 11, 1931, a son of the late Joseph Amoroso and Louise DiLembo Amoroso. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Kowall Amoroso; son, David; sisters, Amy Altemara and Mary Baggiani; and brothers, Mitch Amoroso, Lou Amoroso, and Alfred Amoroso. Frank retired nearly 20 years ago, following a long career as an electrical engineer, working primarily for the US Postal Service. He was an active member of Resurrection Catholic Church. Over the years, he was chairman of Parish Council and a member of the Tuesday group. He served as a counter and was involved in RCIA. He helped to plan and execute the prayer labyrinth that sits behind the church. He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Harris and husband Steve, Kris Sallade and husband Doug, Lynn Davies and husband Scott; grandchildren, Andrew Harris and wife Becky, Lauren Harris, Matthew Harris, Jason Sallade, Sam Davies, Ben Sallade, and Megan Davies; siblings, Virginia Sovich, Yvonne Bodnar, and Anthony Amoroso, numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, November 11 at 10:30 a.m., at Resurrection Catholic Church, 15353 Moneta Rd. Moneta, VA 24121 with Father Louis Benoit celebrating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Catholic Relief Services or Lake Christian Ministries.
