Robert Wayne Davis

Robert Wayne Davis, of Monroe, Va, went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2026 surrounded by those who loved him.

He was a hardworking man who took great pride in roofing and the work he did throughout his life. He was last employed with Traditional Roofing. He had a deep love for music and could often be found listening to his favorite songs, but nothing meant more to him than spending time with his family.

He will be remembered for his strength, determination, sense of humor, and the love he had for the people closest to him. Whether it was sharing stories, listening to music, working with his hands, or simply being surrounded by family, those moments were where he was happiest.

His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories, lessons, and love he leaves behind will continue to live on through his family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by the love of his life; Holly Jo Davis; his father, Thomas Davis and stepmother, Mary Davis; his sisters; Linda Davis, Lisa Emmett, Barbara Davis and Catherine Davis Irwin. He is also survived by his three sons, Zachary Davis and wife, Shannon, Jacob Davis and wife, Katelynn, and Kyle Davis; his two daughters, Shelby Morgan and Katelyn Morgan; and his beloved grandchildren, Gracie Davis, Alaina Davis, Aubrey Davis, Hannah Davis, Ella Davis, Delilah Davis, Addison Fritz, and Jaxon Bomar.

Austin Denton and Abigail Denton, he was so much more than a grandfather. He stepped into a fatherly role in their lives, offering guidance, love, support, and a steady presence they could always depend on. The bond they shared went far beyond that of a typical grandfather and grandchild; he helped shape their lives in the way a father would, and the love they shared with him will always hold a special place in their hearts.

He also leaves behind his dear and special friends, Joe and Donna Pallotti and Heather Kirkland, whose friendship, love, and support meant so much to him throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Desrosiers; and his brother, Thomas Davis III.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that he has gone to be with the Lord and is finally at peace.
