Vilinda Gaynell Dooley Broughman, 70, of Woodleaf, NC and formerly of Montvale, VA, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022. She was born in Bedford, VA on March 5, 1952 a daughter of the late John Irvin Dooley and Clara Gibson Dooley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Guy Waddell Broughman; daughter, Sharon Mooney and husband Stacey; special nephew, Tony “Punkin” Dooley and wife Juanita; granddaughter, Brittany Coleman and husband Glenn, grandson, Matthew Taylor; great-grandson, Chase Coleman; brother, David “Boy” Dooley and wife Donna; sister, Elizabeth Ann “Cotton” Bonds and husband Jim; several other nieces and nephews; and her cat, Bright Eyes. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel, 1235 Walnut Street with Rev. Earl Ragland officiating. Burial will follow in Montvale Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel.
