Freeman Collins Orange, Jr., 64, of Thaxton, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024. He was born in Bedford, VA on June 24, 1960 a son of Anna Craig and the late Freeman Collins Orange, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Wayne Orange. Freeman was a foreman at Asplundh Tree Expert Co. and was a member of Cool Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to his mother, Anna he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Peggy Goff Orange; children, Senica Lynn Orange, Steven Collins Orange; grandchildren, Amethyst Orange, Nathaniel Orange, Jamie Overstreet, Jesse Overstreet, Justin Overstreet, Virginia Bagby, Quavo Callaway, special grandson, Samuel Bagby; step-children, Charles Thompson (Joyce), David Thompson (Deborah), Dwayne Bagby (Laura); brother, Emmett Mitchell; uncle, Ronnie Orange; and special friends, Ronnie King, Johnny Key, and Otey Gordon. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Walnut Street Chapel, 1235 Walnut Street, Bedford with Rev. Earl Ragland and Rev. Bob Manuel officiating.
