Alice Wilson Craig, 74, of Bedford, died Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her residence.  She was born in Bedford on July 2, 1944, a daughter of the late Robert Herman Wilson and Alice Emma Hopkins Wilson.  She was a member of Bedford Church of God.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Vernon Otha Craig, Jr.  She is survived by her daughters, Debra Craig Hurt and husband, Michael J. Hurt, Sr. of Roanoke; Dorinda Craig Spangler and husband, Dewayne Spangler of Bedford; her grandchildren, Kimberly H. Holt and husband, Michael; Michael J. Hurt, Jr. and wife, Mindy; great-grandchildren, Micah Holt, Clara Holt, Isaac Hurt and Israel Hurt. Her beloved pets, C.J. and Sophie; her sisters, Helen Steen, Mary Gibson, Joella DeWhitt; a brother, Ronald Shadrack Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel, 1235 Walnut Street, Bedford, 540-586-7360
