Doris Wilson Preston, 92, of Vinton, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Moneta on January 29, 1929 a daughter of the late, Fuqua Wilson and Clara Ayers Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Berkley Preston; one brother and five sisters. She is survived by a brother, Robert Wilson; a son, Byron Preston of Goodview; a daughter, Brenda Tweedy and husband, Ed of Lynchburg; two grandsons, Devon Tweedy and Kirk Tweedy; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Stephanie Jones as a great caregiver. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton. Marshall Wayne Droog, 71, passed away the morning of February 1, 2021. He was born in Lynchburg on April 26, 1949 to Jacob Droog and Hazel Candler Droog. He married his high school sweetheart, Juanita Francis Droog, on January 24, 1970 and is also survived by a daughter, Tina Marie Droog Gray; and a son, Troy Marshall Droog. Charles Hopkins “Chuck” Lloyd, 64, of Rocky Mount, VA, formerly of Bedford, VA passed on February 1, 2021 at his residence.   He was born on May 6, 1956, a son of the late Carl E. Lloyd and Nancy Hopkins Lloyd.    In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his twin brother, William E. (Bill) Lloyd. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard from 1975-1985. He was a truck driver for the last 18 years. Charles also had a degree from Lynchburg College in Computer Science. Charles is survived by sisters, Vicki Lynn Chandler, Carolyn L. Overstreet (Mike), and Nancy E. Lloyd; brothers, Robert Gilmer Lloyd (Pam) and John D. Lloyd (Patty); step-brother, David Lloyd (Lisa); step-sister, Roberta Kinsella; uncle, Walter Hopkins (Connie); aunt, Karen Hopkins; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; and special friend, Debi Parker.
